Strings The newly founded string department consists of the instruments which are plucked and/or bowed: guitar (acoustic and electric), double bass, E-bass, violin, viola and cello. The teaching is mainly jazz-oriented but open to other musical styles, such as classical, world music or rock.
This variety is reflected in the different profiles of the teaching staff. Alongside artistic training in individual lessons and in ensembles, the pedagogy classes include methodology of instrumental teaching.
Here, too, the high expectations of the JIB are evident – young musicians should be supported to the highest possible standard. The quality of the teaching staff is the best guarantee of this, as can be seen by the list of teachers.
