Drums-percussion Each section of this department has different admission and examination criteria and the content of the course is modified accordingly.
The study content includes specific practical training in the chosen instruments, ensemble work and learning of repertoire.
The aims of the course are the following:
• achievement of highest technical perfection, clarity and virtuosity as the foundation of optimal individual musical expression
• obtaining a working knowledge of different styles and skill in sightreading
• developing own arrangements and playing styles
• functional and communicative empathy – interaction
• encouraging the student’s awareness of the need to take responsibility for his/her own musical development in order to participate fully as a musical personality.
